It’s the idea that matters – this is the tagline of the “Wyobraź Sobie” Competition which has just launched its first edition. If you think you have an idea for a story that is perfect for the big screen then this Competition is exactly for you. All you have to do is write a treatment in which you describe your idea. It is a summary of the main plot points and story beats as well as an introduction to the characters. Treatment should be written in a clear way, convey the essence of the story and outline the plot. It is important to use this opportunity to describe the main characters and present their profiles, personality and character. They should be shown in the context of the story and in relation to the other characters of the potential film.The goal is to describe their dilemmas, decision making process, dilemmas and motivations. To fully show the situations that the individual characters struggle with. Treatment is the beginning of the process of creating a detailed script. On about 10 to 15 pages, you need to outline the message of the film and intrigue the producers, directors and screenwriters enough to make them believe your story.

The “Wyobraź Sobie” Competition is not only an opportunity to win cash prizes (20 000 PLN for the first place, 15 000 PLN for the second place and 10 000 PLN for the third place), but more importantly, a chance to meet recognized film producers associated with the Producers Guild of Poland and increase the possibility of your idea turning into a movie. Additionally, the selected finalists of the Competition will be invited to take part in a series of workshops with renowned filmmakers who will explain the process of making the film.
